A memorial bench in memory of the choir's founder, Fred Warren has been an ever present feature of the Grosvenor Park, near the Rose Garden. Sadly over the years the bench had become rotton and it was necessary to remove it for safety purposes.
The choir created a Just Giving Page to raise the £1000 needed to replace the bench and received a lot of support with the choir funding the remainder.
The new bench is metal and is in keeping with the benches already in the park. This morning our Chairman Richard Cain cut the ribbon on the bench watched by a number of choir members. We hope this serves as a memorial to 0ur founder Fred and gives many people pleasure over the coming years
