As many of you will know the Choir was formed in 1941 and was then known as the Cestrial Male Voice Choir. The musical director at that time was Fred Warren and he was instrumental in forming the choir and making it such a successful choir.
After Fred's death a memorial bench was bought and placed in the Grosvenor Park in Chester and has stood in a prominent position for many years.
Sadly the condition of the bench is deteriorating and needs replacing. The cost to replace the bench is in the region of £1000 and we have set up a Just Giving Page to try and raise sufficient money to replace this bench and ensure Fred’s memory lives on.
